Gary W. Haberland, GENICON’s  C.E.O. was born in McDonald, Pennsylvania, a small agricultural community about 20 miles south west of Pittsburgh. He graduated from South Fayette High School, with Honors and several track and field records, as well as earning his Private Pilot’s License at age 18. Following this, he completed his undergraduate work at the University of Pittsburgh, earning Dean’s List recognition and in a parallel path he was honored with “Top Ten Entrepreneurs of the Year” by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette for creating a company that specialized in the design and construction of commercial scale waterfalls.

During the Laparoscopic “Boom” of the early 1990’s, Mr. Haberland was hired by Stryker Endoscopy, and for four years worked both as a Technical Sales Representative and in Product Development. Recognizing the opportunities before him, he completed his time at Stryker and began work on what is known as GENICON today.

Sixteen years later, the company successfully sells its Florida manufactured products in over 60 markets around the world. He completed his MBA at Rollins College, obtained and maintains his Commercial Pilots License, is a member of the US Commerce Department appointed District Export Counsel. Happily married to Olga and proud father of two wonderful children Nicole and Daniel. He spends his “off time” with his family as well as training and competing within the Ironman Triathlon circuit.

Tom Calcaterra comes to Genicon as C.F.O. with over 25 years of executive-management experience holding positions both as an officer and a director with international responsibilities.

Before joining the company in February 2012, Tom was the Executive Vice President in charge of Business development at Vology where he completed various capital transactions, acquisitions and the establishment of a European subsidiary. Prior to Vology, Tom was chief financial officer for PODS Inc. Among his many accomplishments there, Tom raised more than $100 million in capital for the organization and oversaw the successful completion of its initial public offering. He was also the chief architect behind the company’s strategic business plan, which included an “inter-state move” initiative.

Prior to PODS, Tom was chief financial officer for Romac International Inc., where he completed numerous acquisitions, two public offerings of common stock, reengineered back-office work flows, which included the implementation of PeopleSoft software and completed a number of acquisitions.

Tom’s primary international experience came with Norsk Hydro ASA as vice president, administration chief financial officer for the company’s North American operations. While with Norsk Hydro, he completed numerous acquisitions throughout North America and initiated new operations with local partners outside the United States. Additionally, he completely restructured the operating entities within the United States rewriting business all processes which included the implementation SAP R3.

Tom’s early career experiences included overseas assignments at Touch Ross and Co and later at Arthur Andersen & Co.

Tom maintains an active license as a certified public accountant in the state of Florida and is a member of the AICPA and Alumni Association of the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

Roland Strelitzki joined GENICON as our Chief Technology Officer to lead GENICON’S effort for novel and strategic Research and Development.
With over 20 years’ experience in the field of Medical Devices and Technology Roland brings a strong expertise about different Clinical environments, Market requirements as well as Trends and Technology. He also co-authored peer reviewed publications, patents and conference presentations.
During his career Roland held a variety of management positions in Operations, Marketing and Sales as well as Research and Development.

Roland Strelitzki holds an MBA from HS Anhalt Germany, a PhD in Medical Physics from Leeds University UK, and did Postdoctoral Research with a focus on Polymers at Tulane University, New Orleans. He received his undergraduate education in Engineering in Berlin, Germany.

He is fluent in several languages, and able to conduct business in German and English.
